Huge Egg!

Just now I went to gather all the eggs and I noticed a larger egg but I didn't look too closely at it. I put it with all the other eggs in my sweater pocket (I didn't have the basket with me) and walked in the house. I was washing the eggs, when I pulled this huge egg out of my sweater!

The brown egg is one of our regular sized Eggs! I wonder if it's a double yolker?
What do you guys think? Have you ever had a ginormous egg before?

I have a OE that when she skips a day the next day she lays a monster egg like this. It’s always a double yolker. You can shine a flashlight into the egg to see the yolks. Need a dark room though.

Ok. I just candled the Egg and it has two Yolks!

I think I had an egg that size before and I was pretty shocked! I think my buff orpington laid it.

Ah, yes, gotta love those whoppers, eh?
For storage you can try pouting out narrow end down in the carton, this sometimes gets the big ones in far enough. Alternatively place in a bowl, cup, basket and store until use
