HUGE Eggs

My EE lays pretty big ones. And one of my sexlinks laid a fart egg today. I've officially gotten them in all sizes 😂

I meant to add this yesterday. My CW girls are really friendly, but I think its bc I got them right as everything locked down in March and I was off work for 2 months. I spent so much time wiht them, they still follow me everywhere like Im mom. HAHA

My leghorns I Had a few years ago were handled a little bit as chicks, but not nearly as much as these girls and were much more standoffish than any of my other breeds.

I got rhe cali whites in a batch of 12 chicks & they were always at the botrom of the pecking order. I couldnt get much time with them as they were always keeping distance from the other gals! Lol

Wow, I thought mine laid a big one today, but yours has beaten it!. I never thought to weigh the big ones. I've collected 5 today - the largest weighs 76g and the smallest 44g

Mine laid this whopper today. Her eggs tend to be 65-70 grams on average. She didn’t laid yesterday (my Golden Comets have been laying every day) and today she had two eggs. My guess is the large one took a while to pass and the smaller one came behind it. I am worried she’s in pain

I was curious how big my Comet's eggs are. Hers are big, but yours still has my girl beat! And my scale isn't digital, so it may not be accurate. It's at 98 grams.

Does she act like she's in pain? I bet it was uncomfortable to pass that whopper (probably a double yolker), but she's probably feeling better now. At the least, you know she's not egg bound.

Nice egg 😊. No, she didn't seem to be in pain. Just didn’t come out of the coop this morning with the others. she was sitting on the nesting box but I thought she wasn’t feeling well or had decided to sleep in. Found the egg after I got home from work this afternoon. She was up and about, sure happy to have that thing out of her 🙈
