I thought @junebuggena would have studied genetics by now. White Plymouth Rocks were originally white sports of Barred Plymouth Rock. They are not carrying the barred gene, the have the barred gene. They also have the silver gene. The white is recessive white.
In the first scenario, a White Plymouth Rock male bred to a Barred Plymouth Rock female, all chicks should be barred, and carrying recessive white.
In the second scenario, a White Plymouth Rock male bred to a Rhode Island Red female, the males would have a single barring gene, females would be barred, all would have red/gold leakage, and would carry recessive white.
