So this was our progress as of a week ago...

And here it is today! 15×15 run with 2 ft hardware cloth skirt. Hubby and stepdad were working on the door as I was leaving for work. All that's left is half the roof. And then it's back to finishing the coop...door, windows, nest box walls and some more wooden siding to be done. A coat of wood protector on the whole thing and we are good to go! So close it's killing me lol.

I am planning on planting flowers along front in the stone area as well.

12 hens (or 11 and a RIR rooster...still not 100% on that!) 3 buff orpingtons, 2 australorp, 3 easter eggers, 2 barred rock, and 2 rhode island red. Our coop is 8x4 and that is going to be a little snug but I honestly bought 12 chicks figuring one or two wouldn't make it :/ Maybe we will rehome one or two. Still haven't decided. They're only 4 weeks right now anyway.

Thank you :) the color mix is turning out quite beautifully!

I'm torn on what to do about paint. What do you all think? Leave it natural or paint the coop and run? If I WERE to paint, I'd do the coop in a mint green color with soft white trim and soft white paint on the run. If I leave it natural, I'm doing red trim on the coop and going for the rustic barn style.

Very nice, I would paint it the mint green with white trim, you have come so far with a great looking coop why stop at this point, 3 people with brushes will be done before you know it.

Your coop looks like it's coming along nicely. I'm hoping to finalize my coop plans soon so I can start building. I'm pretty sure the weeks will fly by and I will end up with indoor chickens if I'm not paying attention. LOL

I also 2nd the painting. Do it now before they are in the coop and change your mind!
