Sigh. Somebody needs to tell her why she has to butcher them.
Cornish X chickens, when not butchered at 8 weeks will not stop growing. They will suffer in the heat, and they usually have awful joint issues from carrying around all the extra weight. If you want to keep them, you need to keep them on a diet, that's basically starving them, as their fast growing bodies need lots of food. Its cruel to keep them past the 8wk cull date, basically
give s/he to a farm to process if you are unwilling to do it yourself.
