Well, I never would have guessed that they had them, or even so large. The placement is kinda strange.... So if I pet my rooster on the back, will he become more relaxed?

We never butchered yet, but I guess when we do... we need to make sure to remove those also. Definately don't want that ending up in my chicken soup or chicken salad.

I have butchered at least 20 roos in my life and never knew what those things were lol. Just tossed them with the other non edible gut parts! Will pay more attention next time!

When we butchered, my mom knew right what they were and we saved them! We get mountain oysters from the vet every once in a while when he has a bunch. Rooster balls would be like eating popcorn!

Oooooohhhh you're not supposed to eat them? Heehee. I consider them offal and I keep them with the necks for stock.

You heard me right - come to my house and all the chicken stock is made with chicken balls. It's like matzo balls, only pre-packaged.
