You know you can kill a coon with a pellet rifle if it's high enough powered. That's what we use... One shot between the ears or into the ears. Just look at skull pictures and figure out where the back of the brain is. Lights out immediately.

Never had to kill a coon or possom yet but I imagin if one looks at my birds again it will be getting a bullet. If I can hurt I'm sure I could take care of a coon or possom, but not up to eating it yet LOL. Guess I could help ya out if you have another one in the trap.
