Cindy was splashing in the river and then suddenly she noticed the big black clouds bunching overhead. “Oh Cinnamon we better go” she sprung back into the leather saddle and let him gallop. The lightning cracked overhead, she shuddered and watched it sparking across the sky. Then the wind picked up and the closest farm was Brooke’s. She galloped through the gates to Brooke’s farm.

Cindy was frantic as the lightning struck a tree right next to her out the front of Brooke’s gate. “Please please let me in” she begged her red hair had fallen out her two plaits now and she could feel the heat from the tree burning where she was sitting astride Cinnamon

“I’m okay I just have to get out the lightning” she said, she had a terrible fear of thunderstorms and it had been since she was a little girl when she’d been outside and it had nearly hit her, from then forth she’d been terrified. “Sorry Thankyou for the offer but I really must get going and if you can, take Cinnamon inside for me?” She gestured to the big sweet horse. “Just say that he needed to get out the storm, tell her I’ll be by to collect him tomorrow after the storms gone”.
