Jess woke up to Cassie squealing with laughter. Millie was being the 'morning horsie'. Cassie would hold onto Millie's back, and Millie would go down on all fours, neighing and bucking, gently trying to throw Cassie off. This game was always the perfect way to get Cassie out of bed in the morning. Jess sighed and put her pillow over her face in an attempt to muffle the sound. Andy groaned.

Fern sat with Fluffy, stroking her soft fur. She gave the bunny's small nose a kiss. She was still shaking from the fire. On the floor next to her, Skylar sat with her blue macaw, Pirate, on the ground. Her head was still hurting, but she was not one to complain. She gave Pirate an extra cracker and told him that he was a good bird. Albert was reading a book about the growth of trees.
Jimmy skipped in. "Is there school today?" He asked Skylar.
"No." Replied Skylar bluntly.

Suddenly, Millie paused her game of 'Morning Horsie".
"Oh shoot! 'ol Matilda!" She cried, prying Cassie from her back. 'Ol Matilda was the family cow. She needed to be milked early in the morning or else she would be very grumpy. Millie sped out the door with a pail and got to work.
