Human Transmittable Poultry Diseases

Hello Everyone,

I think it might be a good idea to start a list of poultry diseases that can be tansmitted to humans and how, for all those who are wondering if they can be infected.
I know that i would like to know!

I think this is an interesting topic as well but then I love diseases and parasites LOL!

You can check the CDC website under zoonotic diseases and just look for specifically chickens etc. there should be plenty there. http://www.cdc.gov/parasites/animals.html
Plus some things are spread from birds to humans via a vector like a mosquito etc. whereas some things are spread via direct contact. Some like some avian flu cases can be caught from a bird and then spread from person to person thus 'jumping species'.
