For those of you that have been successful in catching fox in live traps, I would be interested in the brand of trap you used and its size. I am having a problem with gray fox in particular, but also have seen red, and get the idea the bigger the trap the better, which is also considerably more expensive expensive. If you have an opinion or tip you'd also like to pass on, I'd like to hear it.

Thanks.

well xD foxes are very hard to deal with... i have that problem too and sadly... ive had to kill some.... you could try a large trap and chicken meat from the store but it takes a long time for your sent to leave it :/ lol but be carefull cause skunks and coons are lured in with that xD i feel your pain
Although, i did have good luck with one skill and it may seem cruel to the chickens but leave them locked in for a week and a half... foxes go after them because they are an easy meal but when they realise they cant get to them... hunger forces them to leave they wont stay in one place at this time of year because their pups are old enough to hunt on their own if you have other people around you with chickens... they would have to lock theirs up also so none of you loose a bird and yatta yatta they are forced to leave cause they cant find food...
i hope this helped! :D

the right sized foot traps are quiet humane I use them daily they are the right tool to use for canines . if you are bent on using cages bigger is better gray fox are much easier to catch then reds or yotes google drift fencing cage trap the top coupla links will get you started most time when I use foot traps I have the fox the next morning the newest foot traps have rubber lined jaws I modify my traps and they do not hurt the animals foot
