I hate to write this, but I can’t watch her suffer anymore. My six year old Rouen got a nasty looking infection on her beak, it’s practically eating it and there’s nothing I can do about it. The meds didn’t work and soon she won’t be able to eat or drink water because she won’t have her beak anymore. I don’t want to see her waste away when that time comes, is there any humane way to do this? Drugs? I don’t have the heart to break her neck or behead her.

I wouldn't poison a bird with drugs, that's a big no no, & less humane then decapitation, or shooting it in the head, in which both are quick, & painless.

Cervical Dislocation can easily be done on ducks, the same way as chickens as well with the broomstick method.

A quick none messy way option #2 is a Duck Pith. It's a sharp instrument that is directly inserted into the back of the head of a duck directly into the brain. Ducks naturally have two thin pits in the back of the head on either side that make the pith method easy.
