Humidity during lock

I keep reading the humidity during lockdown needs to stay around 70% but the instructions say to open the vent all the way. We live in a very dry climate and I can’t keep it at 70% and open. What do ya’ll recommend?

What are you hatching ?
I run 65 for humidity it will jump higher as babies start to hatch

Chickens. It will be closer to 50 maybe under if I open all the way

Did you calibrate a hygrometer or just using the bator ?

Completely ignore incubator instructions. The instructions my incubator came with told me to spray my eggs with water every day from day 18 onwards.

Could you show us a picture of the vent the instructions are referring to? A lot of the non-USA products these days have a noticeable language barrier that shows up in the instructions.
