-I didn't have a GFCI plug in so I just used a normal wall plug in,would the humidity that comes past the wires to the top windows in the incubator cause shock/electrical problems?

- I don't have a hydrometer, but all 6 water channels are full of water,it came with 2 air plugs, one is out,but theres nothing on the windows, should I put the other plug in to make it more humid?

You can see one red plug in the pic,and yes theres more than 3 eggs in there lol

They have just been in there a little over 8 hours .

ALSO: how can I take the lid off to turn the eggs without problems with the wires/element ? I have never used an incubator and it makes me nervous , don't want to mess it up lol

I don't have an incubator like yours, but my understanding is that having all channels full is to achieve the highest humidity for lockdown and hatching... which is too high for incubating. It all depends on the humidity where you live and how your incubator holds humidity, of course, which is where the hygrometer comes in handy. I am trying to keep my humidity down right now because too high of humidity caused problems in my first hatch. I would definitely get a hygrometer, I don't have a fancy one... I bought mine for $10, but I don't know what I would do without it. Mine also has a temp reading that I can compare with my mercury thermometer to make sure temp is in the correct range. Is yours a still air or do you have a fan?

I hope someone with your incubator and more experience will chime in about your questions : )

Still air . Would the humidity affect the wiring? That's my main concern as it touches the wires ,

If you want more humidity, I ALWAYS put damp sponges in my incubator to inprove on humidity.
