Humidity Help Please (pics pg. 3)

The smell isnt "bad" I think it is the cloths I am using for water, I got them out of the laundry room.

My temp is good then, just the humidity is too low. I hae wet rags and a cup of water in there, any other adivce to get it up?

No... ughhh.
This is a bad sign

Also, I need to decide to either get rid of these eggs or not becuase the trash goes tomorrow.

They are discolored but i dont know if they are still ok... im going to take more pics of the bad ones and post to see if they really are bad or not

Well I am down to 3 eggs. The other.... 5 that i had left started oozing ( yuck)

One of the eggs looks good, like there is nothing wrong

One looks like ti might be bad, but then again my duck has been known to lay green eggs

And the last one might be ok, it looks a little weak though.

At least I tried. Even if this turns into a complete failure, At least I gave it a shot, and ive learned alot

Aww...I'm sorry. I've been following your posts and really rooting for those duckies. Maybe tomorrow.

Did the eggs have contact with the wet cloths? The protective coating that shouldn't be washed off or it would let bacteria in, since egg shells are porous.

I'm in early stages of my first attempt at hatching and know how you must feel by each little loss. After candling on day 5 I'm sensing problems lurking with 2 out of my five fertilized eggs. Regarding getting humidity higher the last 3 or so days I heard a good idea about using a humidifier in the room. I may try that myself since already have one.

Best of luck and I hope these last THREE are little miracle chicks for you! And at least you are trying your best (and learning)!

nope, They are not setting on anything wet, I have them semi raised off the tank floor.

That is an upside, that I am learning. So next time if this happens I wont be so helpless.

You could wrap the sides of that tank in a huge towel to help hold in the heat. Juat not the top since they need fresh air.
