Humidity help

I have had alot of hits and misses with my hatching and I have found that kepping it around 60% then the last 3 days about 85%. If you can't get it high enough by just adding water to your trays then take a spray bottle w/warm water and lightly mist around your incubator, not the eggs though.

I think that the best answer for this topic is get some barnyard eggs and try different things for your area. It is really dry where I am so I am going to just try the "normal" of 40-50% 1-18 and then 65-75% 18-21. I will let you know how mine do!

I have been reluctant to post on this subject due to the great variences of opinions...

I shoot for about 40% 1-18
60% for pipping

do not mist.......I made that mistake

mist goose and duck eggs, if you must mist, but not dryland birds.

I would let your hum% drop to it's lowest point possible and then after a day bring it up to 40%...

Of course, if you have your reservoirs completely filled, then it will probably take a week to drop..

that will not do..

remove any sponges etc. and as much water as you can..

a damp bottom will take 2 or 3 days to dry up..
