Hi,

My chicks are starting to hatch, and I had read that the humidity goes up in the bater. But mine is going down. I keep adding water, but it keeps going down. Is this normal? It is dry out here, but I don't think it's that dry.

Thank you, I have been able to but I am having to add water about every hour. I guess I won't be sleeping much tonight.

I have had good luck with putting some of that no-skid rubberized shelf liner stuff in the bator over the 1/4" wire base over the water tray. I spritz the inside of the bator, eggs and all, with a fine spray bottle of water if I open it during hatching and the humidity stays pretty good.

Oh thank you, that sounds like a plan. I am so tired, but don't dare go to sleep. i will try that.
