Humidity level

I built a cabinet incubator and got it up and running and temps stabilized. Running it dry right now, the humidity level is running mid 50s. Is there anything I can do to lower the level? Wanting it somewhere in the 30s for the first 18.

Having never built an incubator, ventilation will help lower humidity. Is it possible to add an adjustable vent?

What is the ambient humidity in the room? Is it made from wood or any other materials that might have moisture in them that is coming out?

yes, humidity will build up from the eggs themselves if air cant circulate from the outside, and it generally wont go lower than ambient so .. ac lowers it ...

Think everything has leveled out. Room humidity is 47%. Haven’t added eggs to incubator yet, got more coming in this week. Right now it’s running 30%. Guess it just needed to run a little. I built it over 5 years ago, so I know the wood is dried out, but I opened a vent hole on the back.
