Humidity problem

I'm having a lot of trouble keeping the humidity stable. I've been able to check on them every couple of hours all weekend, but that won't do when my husband and I go to work tomorrow. Any tips on maintaining humidity over longer periods of time? I've tried pouring water in, as well as putting damp paper towel, but just haven't figured out that sweet spot to maintain it steadily for longer periods of time.

I didn't have a lot of time to read up and prepare for hatching these eggs (my first time!)-- it was a quick decision after my only rooster was attacked last week. But so far so good (I think?!).

HELP! Day 24 and no signs of anything. I thought I heard peeping on day 22 but may have been wishful thinking. Should I candle or do the float test? I need them to hatch because it's for a science project and I'm super upset and nervous for them! What should I do! They were shipped eggs and I have them in still air incubators around 100 degrees. For the first 18 days I turned three times a day with 40-50 humidity then stoped on day 18. On day 18 I also raised humidity 65-75 percent.

Soaked sponge kept spiking the humidity and drying out too quickly for me, but two small measuring cups seems to have it stabilized for hours at a time! Woo hoo! (Small like teaspoon-- we have these funny stand up vial-like measuring spoons in our kitchen, that stand nicely beside the egg turner.)

How do I lower the humidity when the ambient is between 75 and 99! I live I oklahoma where we've had all the rain!
Make sure you are running dry with no water in the bator. You can try a small bowl of uncooked rice or unpopped popcorn. I heard the unpopped pop corn worked better. Have not had to fight to keep humidity down, so I have no hands on experience as to how well either works.

Help help pls have a chick in bator rest of eggs not hatched.can i add water for humidity with him in there desperate to keep humidity up
