humidity too high or low?

So cute!! Congrats! What breed are they? My lone egg hasn't done anything. I candled it and I can see it moving around though. It's hard having only one, because I don't know if it's late, or if all the other ones would have hatched around the same time.

be sure to give it mirrors to see it's self and a stuffed animal helps.

Are you hatching in a basket in an incubator, or with a broody hen? I've been wondering if you could put a little basket in the bator, with some hay or pine shavings. It might be nicer for the chicks. Pretty eggs!! What are you hatching?

They are gold laced brahmas...I ended up with 7, my last one seemed to be a quitter. I did the water test, no ripples....and decided to make my way in to see what was going on since I had seen no movement for it at all. Lots of yellowish liquid, and it didn't look fully formed. It was close though. I am just happy the hatched turned out as good as it did for a first hatch. Good Luck with your, I will keep following if you post here.

I was wondering about the basket also. I love seeing pips

. It was badly malpositioned, and pipped right in the middle of the egg. I tried to help a little last night, but it had passed already when I checked on it this morning. I guess I'll have to wait until next week for chicks. I have 10 Bantam Wyandotte eggs set to hatch next Friday. Hatching sucks sometimes...

Life sucks sometime nature can be your best friend or your worst enemy but don't get down you still have more eggs to look forward to :) chin up! (Or beak up ;) )
