Okay so I have one of those 7 egg incubators. Didn't realize it had such bad reviews when I bought it, it had good reviews on it so I assumed it was okay but reading in here I've discovered some people don't like them. It only shows the temperature no humidity, so I bought a little digital humidity reader. So I know that the gauge might be off because it's such a small area and these digital ones have room for error but it keeps reading between 75% & 85%

How do i get it to go down. I'm on day 7 today i tilt them 5 times a day now. The humidity obviously drops when i open the lid.

What advice an y'all give me?

Have you check your aircells by candling? That will tell you immediately if you're ok or not. Especially at day 7.

Anything specific to look for?

I was planning candeling them tonight.
I've been watching videos and reading articles on what to look for. I have 3 blue eggs & 2 Dark Brown Maran eggs so i know they can be hard to see through the shell.

You should do ok. What light are you using? In a dark room anything 700-800+ lumen should light those puppies right up.

In terms of air cells. Mark trace them with a pencil. This will help you, and others, see how the humidity has been. This picture should give you an idea. Also some pics of my current eggs on day 7.

Those air cells don't look too bad. Unfortunately none of the eggs in the picture have developed. I see no indication there is a baby in there. Either they are infertile or possibly mishandled (shipped).

You can repair a cracked egg with wax, nail polish, or new skin. It runs an increased risk of being contaminated by bacteria. About 50% of the eggs I've repaired have hatched. Not great but definitely worth a shot. Was it one of the blue eggs that's cracked? I don't see any cracks in the pictures.

How did the Marans eggs look?
