Humidity?

I've begun storing fertile eggs to wait for a broody hen. Each day I set aside one egg and keep each egg for a week. They're kept in a cool, dry and dark place.

What I don't know about is humidity. Many things say it's best to store them at a humidity of 75%. I don't know if that means they need a special storage with a set humidity and have no idea how to measure it either. Any ideas?

Personally, I never worried about the humidity. I stored mine in an egg crate in a cool room around 60 degrees and kept them no longer than a week before I put them in. I never had any survive longer than that. I also had a curled toe issue with about 3 out of every 10 chicks too. I did better with the ones that didn't wait so long to go in the bator. I know it's difficult when you don't have that many laying or room in the bator but I would put in eggs every week and had eggs hatching every week. I discovered that If I kept the humidity between 40 and 50 they hatched out good and didn't get stuck or drown.
