Hunched up duck.

Well crud...I need help again.
Unless of course this is normal?
I noticed that one of my ducks seems to be behind the others as of late. She was raised and hatched with my drake so she used to be RIGHT next to him.
Just now I spotted her sleeping, off to herself, though all day she WAS with the flock. I brought her in and I could not get her to eat in front of me even though she feels pretty ok weight wise so I assume she is eating at least something. Her crop was not huge though it did feel like there was something in there.
I felt around, did not feel an egg obstruction, and she pooped out normal poop.
Any ideas?
Or was this just a, I want to sleep and rest while the rest of my flock wanders off.
She is also not honking as much, though she did put up a fight to catch her, and she hissed and puffed up at my cat inside when she wandered up to her.
Then when I put her outside she flapped her wings and did the head bob to her mate.
*crosses fingers* someone tell me shes just weird. And no this is not malady, this is Maybell, a black and white nine month old duck.

Seems to me ducks can have off days, maybe picked up a mild virus or ate something that disagreed with her.

You are exactly right to notice, though, and check her out. Some illnesses sneak up on us.

Keep watching. Tomorrow she may be back to normal.

Must have just been an off day because today she was up, quacking, eating and chasing down her mate.
Yes! No more duck drama for me please!
