hunting

Hey, I'm with ya on that!!! Maine is actually a very tough place to hunt from what I hear in CT. We have out of state ppl come to hunt our state forests from VT, NH, and ME b/c with all the land the deer are tough to find

That's a nice buck! Where we hunt, that is usually what we see (or smaller)......The big ones are not that common anymore.

Nice job with your buck Beth! It is awesome to be able to help provide food like that. It is only part of it of course, but satisfying none the less, when you sit down and enjoy the venison that you worked hard for. Best wishes for your next hunting trip!

Thanks all for the nice comments. IMHO, anytime you get any deer with a bow it is exciting and special. And Beth, it is so true! Again, in my opinion, it is more of a challenge to hunt where there is a smaller deer population and more woods. You really have to do your homework with pre-season scouting, know their food sources at various times, where the water is, etc. But thats all part of the fun too! Best wishes to all of our BYC hunters.
