We could smell him just driving by. It's that time of year, for sure!

Didn't see anything today just the usual squirrels, pheasants and rabbits. Also while walking back to the stand (at 4am) heard a pack of about 5-8 coyotes yippin and yowlin just a few hundred yards away. Was glad to get up in my stand after that

Little windy today but the morning was perfect. Had a little Titmouse sit on my barrel about 3 inches from my hand for a few minutes catching the morning rays of sunshine. I know I must be sitting still enough thats for sure! The same little squirrel decided to crawl across my back AGAIN today

No wonder most of the young ones don't make it to adults!

Will be going again tomorrow. Hopefully to see some deer!

Dont know how i missed this thread for so long.... my whole family hunts. My crib midget was on his first bear hunt at 3 months inside my coat in a baby carrier. Growing up in Alaska helps that out a bit

We have been after this guy all season. Finally a fella that hunts here got a chance. He shot under him twice with his crossbow

Unusual... no brow tines.

Thought that was kind of odd to but I haven't seen many bucks with over 4in brows. Usually their just long enough to score as a point.

He looks like a 6 but is actually a 7. On the antler on the right side of the page he has what I call a shredder thats about 1 1/2in long.

Both my 8point buck that I took around 6 years ago had smooth antlers and a skul of another 8point both had smooth tan antlers. Guess it depends on what the deer have food wise while still in velvet.

That is a TALL rack, Stevo!

Attack Chicken, best of luck with the taxidermy!

I got a small 8-point on Saturday. The neighbors stirred up some deer right at sunrise. I watched them cross the cornfield and go into the thick stuff about a hundred yards from my stand. I thought they were going to bed in there for a while, but about an hour later, I heard some noise and saw a doe coming through the funnel. I let her follow the trail right down to my stand and was about to drop her when I heard crashing behind her. Then, I saw the eight coming down the same trail. I waited for him.

Good luck to all!
