Major storm band headed my way (New Orleans), heavy rain and possible tornado headed my way, news says it's moving fast, so hopefully no rain training. Waiting to hear if I will have to drive across town to pick up daughter from school.

Stay safe. Be careful driving if you do those flash flood situations come up very quickly .

THIRD landfall for Harvey?!?! Never ever heard of such a thing!

Rain here off and on seems mostly off for rest of the day. I am delivering my final load of pullets this afternoon, finally, to the lady nearby who was on vacation. My kid chicken wranglers will be tested.

I got chickens spatchcocked, pork butt, and beef brisket, plus some sausages out on the grill and smoker. Ears of corn soaking to go on later. Pot of beans been going since this morning making the house smell so good it's making everyone hungry. The kids helped bake bread last night, and we made extra cornbread for the beans today. I fried okra and tomatoes and onion rings for lunch and made extra of that too. Amazing how much food we are going through!

Getting the guys geared up for fishing tomorrow. Hope they catch lots! Found some of my red wriggler worms under the covered part of the compost. They seem tired of the rain too!

Looks like I was, sadly, right. I think most of Houston is going to be evacuated by this weekend. Rivers rising and staying at or near record highs. Bayous going down some now, but will go back up. Rain and more rain.

Y'all be safe!

Tons of food, sounds yummy

Ursuline Chick how are u managing at the moment they just issued a flood advisory for the entire metro area

I know I will most likely be keeping my kids home for the next couple of days
Daughter went to school, rain band very heavy, but over for the moment will be picking daughter up at 3, but have to drive across town. Tornado watch in affect until mid night.

I just found out that a cousin of mine and his family are on the2nd floor of their home in Katy, Tx - the first floor flooded! I thought they were in Florida where they just bought a condo. They are safe so far :fl
O no!
Every where is hit hard.
If they need to be rescued Cinco Ranch high school is an open shelter.

Yes we are safe, if damp. Local rain gages reporting 3' of rain. Wow.

New neighborhood reporting 3 feet of water in new homes just up the road. Everyone out safe, but lots of water damage.

Rain squall hits & ditch gets full. Little water seeping in, but squall passes & ditch drains. We are near the north end of Trinity Bay, so more concerned with storm surge last week.

I agree, we need a dry spot to let this drain.

Peace be with y'all! Prayers.
