Dicinson is just south of Houston off of interstate 45.

My neighbors yard sprinklers have been going off all day.
They can't figure out how to get them turned off...they are not the brightest tool in the shed so to speak.

We would see that when it was flooding in '93 here and we were getting dumped on with rain every day. even where I worked we couldn't control the sprinklers some landscape company had control.

There was an article on one of the news sites about a wildlife center with a bunch of gators that the fence was about to be breached this morning. Somewhere around Houston, don't remember the name.

okay, I will have to sit and read a few pages to catch up. Just got back with the child, no flooding so far here, but still trying to decide what to do with the truck before it starts to rain again, as some parts of the city are having street flooding. Radio is talking about nothing but how we have been lied to by our mayor over and over again. So, how are ya'll holding up so far? Is everyone okay still?

Good news- my homemade, no mess feeder is dry inside the doghouse even with all the wind.

The coop, I should have finished the front wind shield (ok, rain deflector) before the rain. Half the coop is wet. Girls huddling under the coop, their normal "shady" spot. We are not happy, but everyone is present & accounted for.

Building the coop on the "high" spot was a good idea.

The birds are dry. Feet are wet, what should I be concerned about? The coop bedding getting changed (weather permitting) this weekend.

Ducks are looking like a good idea. Umm...
