Good news- my homemade, no mess feeder is dry inside the doghouse even with all the wind.

The coop, I should have finished the front wind shield (ok, rain deflector) before the rain. Half the coop is wet. Girls huddling under the coop, their normal "shady" spot. We are not happy, but everyone is present & accounted for.

Building the coop on the "high" spot was a good idea.

The birds are dry. Feet are wet, what should I be concerned about? The coop bedding getting changed (weather permitting) this weekend.

Ducks are looking like a good idea. Umm...
News Alert...the deep litter method sucks for Hurricane weather.
I have NEVER had a smell before...
I about died today when I went to collect eggs.
Poor girls.

What kind of mess am I/we drowned rats looking for with our coops/runs staying soo wet?

What grows in the "wet"?
Fungus?
Nothing you can't cure with sunshine, a wheelbarrow, shovel, and lots of new bedding. If you have any, straw or mulch it works well to give them some distance off the sponge. Even an upside down kiddie pool would work. Anything to raise their feed above the sponge. I know, this was not helpful Sorry.

I haven't even though of that....thank fully the flood water is not in the coop...just the rain water that is blowing in sideways.
There might be a bright side... Molds need air to grow, right now they'll just be drowning. It's after the rain stops that your clock starts.
