Hang in there, Kiki; the Man upstairs ain't gonna give you more than you can handle. :hugs:hugs
All we worried about before the storm hit was having enough food for a week and hoped we wouldn't loose power for too long. We didn't once think we were going to get flooded in.

I'm looking out the window. It's still raining. I'm on the south side of Houston. Just south of the beltway 8....

While the center moves east, the bands of rotation are still moving towards Houston. But they do appear to be weakening by the time they reach south Houston.

Ok, for your area, winds are sustained N @8mph, gusts are WNW @34mph. The bottom of the storm has almost cleared the coast and it looks like for the most part easing of the rain. It looks like you're in the path of one more cloud burst, but it looks to be relatively small, with current wind speeds and shifts, it could miss you.

On the news just now; the Columbia (lake? river?) levee has been breached, and anyone still in that area needs to get out immediately! I hope everyone already left! Mary

With the roads mostly all flooded there probably aren't many ways to leave. What an awful situation. I heard something last night that several levees were in danger.
