There's no shortage of beans here. A few years ago, I would shop at a restaurant supply store pretty regular. I didn't have a problem buying 50 pounds of something, when I could get the right price... Like Sugar at 40 cents a pound or pasta at 35 cents a pound.

I guess I was regular enough that the store manager knew me... A restaurant put in a special order for beans (4 different kinds) you know that ones that are like $1.20/pound at the grocery store.... Well, there was an apparent problem with the size of the beans, the chef wanted bigger beans (btw, these are about the same size as the store). So the restaurant returned them to the store... Two 250 pound bags of each type. The store manager called me and offered them to me (only if I took all) at 19 cents a pound. I'll likely never buy another bean as long as I live, but I got a great deal...

What did you find out about the best way to ship?

I wanted to be able to trace the first box so got med size priority box it was a flat rate of $13.60 (now, it should arrive on Sat. and I have a tracking number, it's also insured to $50 with the price) so it wasn't the least expensive way. However I was able to put 192 sanitary pads in the box and probably could have squeezed in more. But it's my test box, so we will see if uglyguckling gets the box Sat. and go from there. I chose USPS partly because I really want anyone who steals sanitary pads from school girls to go to jail.

I get my ssi on the 3rd will buy stuff then I wonder think I will get a case of boxed dinner type foods how about a case of ramin?

Ramin is great with a can of tuna mixed in and everybody sends tuna, so if you send ramin that would be great!

For me it was the large USPS flat rate box. $18.85 and I got 24 pounds in the box.
