You got me laughing, remembering a funny memory from a long time ago... In upper Michigan we had an aggressive big 16 point buck. Everyone steered clear of him. One day he made a bad choice... First day of deer season, he chose to attack a VW van. Put his antlers through the sliding door and got stuck. Driver got out, put a .44 in his ear and then sawed off the horns and put him in the back. I got to dress him out about an hour later.

ETA: John left the horns in the door for about a year just to tell the story.

Sometimes people are so dumb and think they can walk right up to a wild animal and it is 'ok'

You should see what they do in Alaska with all the tourists stopped on side of road with a bear (with cubs) with in 20 feet !

Wait...what? Black bears in.....Florida?!

Yes. In fact, they have open seasons where they can be hunted in order to keep the population from getting too large and then having them in urban areas and neighborhoods.

Hubby saw a black bear with cub in our driveway! Luckily the dogs were in the house.

I would have to start wearing adult depends (diapers) before my time if we had bears in Delaware and they wandered into yards.
