I would have to start wearing adult depends (diapers) before my time if we had bears in Delaware and they wandered into yards.
Ha ha! The alligators are statewide, but much more common in south Florida around the Everglades. Still, I take care down around our pond, because I have heard of people in our area finding small gators in their ponds.

from where?
From last Friday I think.
Maybe Thursday.

I am never going to catch up.

I've had sick people all weekend...still have a sick Mini.
I don't wish the flu on any one!

I have cried for several days. At 13.5 years Gracie was overcome by her health issues and her quality of life just plummeted. Had to put my sidekick to sleep. Difficult decisions are sometimes necessary. We miss her, but are comforted by sweet memories and the knowledge she no longer suffers.

That buck is now in my back yard. I told the story awhile back...well...he's back again. It was almost dark out when I heard the snorting this evening while I was collecting eggs (Rupert was safely inside). I made the mistake of moving towards him (not realizing it was him) and then I heard the hoof stomp. I "hoofed" it back into the house.
Rutting season makes bucks even more unpredictable!

OMG that is funny. Well glad he didn't get hurt.

Sometimes people are so dumb and think they can walk right up to a wild animal and it is 'ok'

You should see what they do in Alaska with all the tourists stopped on side of road with a bear (with cubs) with in 20 feet !
Was at Yellowstone a few years ago and nearly had a heart attack when a Japanese family positioned their two small children between a momma elk and her baby and were taking flash photos! Momma started snorting and pawing the ground. Fortunately her calf moved towards mom and they left before momma elk stomped those children.
