I have a baby chick that another hen had picked up and dropped. He is eating, drinking, relieving himself but his toes on his left leg won't support him. He is peeping and moving around but really only with one leg. Has anyone had this happen or have any ideas of what I should do? He was in the coop with the other babies and I came home and I'm guessing the hens put him outside because that is where I found him. Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions!

i'd seperate him with a buddy under a heatlamp and give him a chance to rest his leg, it may just be bruised- can you see if there is a break?

I have him under a light but I haven't had too much luck getting him a buddy. I don't see anywhere that his leg is broke. I have three hens protecting the rest and they will not let me near them. Is there a way I can pick up the hens without getting attacked. Thank you so much for your help!
