Hi, Im new here.... just trying to look for answers. I have 5 Peking ducks. (I had 6 but something tore the other one up the other night and we had to put him down). They are enclosed in a barn at night and run around during day. When I put them in tonight I noticed one had blood on her feathers and nostril. Could they possibly hurt each other?

Examing the ducks a little bit more closely for any serious cuts/wounds would not be a bad idea, I would also look around the barn for any entryway's that predators might be able to get in. Describing how the dead duck was found might help us narrow down the predator too, Sorry for your loss!

:welcome
I am very sorry about your duck, I hope the other one will be ok. You are in good hands here with some amazing people. Can you send pics of your bleeding duck? And I agree with above that a predator will almost always come back so please be careful with them.

We have made sure nothing can get in or under the barn since the attack. So i'm baffeled as to why they had blood on feathers when they were locked up. I did not see any wounds etc. Can they gang up on each other. Thank you all for your input.

Yes, 3 females, 2 males. There’s 2 of them that hang around together constantly and they were the ones with blood on feathers. The girl is a smaller Pekin compared to the others
