LOL. My dh worked from home for a week and I wanted to kill him after the third day. But putting the shed together? Man we work great as a team. He says it's because i actually know what I am doing. I think it was because I let him use my tools.

We've been building a house for 8 years, and boy, can I relate. I hope we finish one day.

I guess or advantage is we have lived and worked on "project" homes together for most of the time we have been together. Now that we are at almost 7 yrs we found it better that he work away from the house rather then us both working in, and on the house we are living in. But if there is real love...and understanding and comunication...it will pass. I think a little bit of insanity helps.....

OMG, Diet Coke just came out my nose when I read this. It was an enormous, significant cumbersome amount of Diet Coke.

Chickfillhay, THAT was my biggest laugh of a day filled with laughs. Thanks!

HEY! FloridaChickenChick! Thanks for the "mental"

I agree, a great dinner, tlc, and praise always works for me.. Dh doesn't understand half of the things I want--honeybees, goats, chickens, orchard, vineyard, huge gardens but he always jumps in after a little 'foot draggin'--telling me I really 'don't need' what ever it is I am wanting...but then he spends a great amount of time--working, change plans, enlarging, do extras so my 'projects' are even better than I had imagined!! He is a great sport.. I almost have him trained, after only 35yrs!

Yup, mine gets grumpy too. I would have been happy with a much smaller coop but he wanted to do this big pentagon coop. It was more work than he expected it to be but needed to get done as the babies got too big to stay in the house. So he lost time to do other things.
It's kind of been like when we go camping or put up Christmas lights. We always end up snapping at each other. Now before we start either of those things we look at each other, smile, curse (just to get it out of the way) have a good laugh and get the job done. Of course the coop still isn't finished! I'd say your situation was normal.

Happy to update that the coop/run is pretty much finished!!!!! Yahoooooooooooooo!!!!! Just need to do one or two small things and my husband will have time to do his stuff. He seemed a little happier about the whole thing last night. We sat in our lawn chairs and got to see the chicks in the run for the first time. Very relaxing...well cept for the cat wanting to pounce on them.

I did tell him last night that he did an AWESOME job and i thanked him over and over. He really did do a nice job and i could never have done it without him.
