Let me share some info on different meds for epilepsy. My 7 yr old has been diagnosed with epilepsy since he was 5 (almost 6). Anyways the first med they put him on was Topamax. It made him cry all the time and really sensitive. Almost made him a zombie. I fought the dr and he finally changed it to Trileptyl. It has been wonderful. No side effects at all. If your dh has probs or side effects you can fight with your dr to change it. I had to fight. My son's teacher was so happy when he got on the new meds. She said~ Cody is finally back. I really missed him. Because it wasn't really Cody when he was on the other meds. Good Luck!

Check out the Cryogenic (sp?) Diet from John Hopkins. Supposedly it helps with the seizures.
