Husband in Hospital !!

i will pray for your husband and you.
God willing he will get a clean bill of health. Just because it is a seizure don't think the worse. Especially if this had not happened before. Let's just all pray for him and you!
Like alot of people said your chick should be fine with these temperatures. take care of yourself and your family! Be well and God Bless!

I'm sorry to hear about your husband. My husband's 29 year old sister had a seizure out of nowhere two years ago (she had never had one before, and there was no apparent reason for this one), the doctor's did all these tests, found nothing. Put her on medicine for a year just to be safe, that made her really tired but nothing else bad ever happened, they said it was just a fluke thing. She's totally fine now, no meds. (All those neurons in the brain, seems like some wires are bound to accidentally cross every once in awhile, right?) So anyway, there's a story with a positive outcome to help you keep thinking positive. My best to your husband and you, I'll be thinking of you guys.

Prayers go out to you and your husband. Like Rachel said, have a positive outlook and do not, I repeat, do not read any negative comments. That is the last thing you need right now. Fear cannot rule your thinking right now. Put your trust in God.

My son has epilepsy. He started having seizures when he was only 5!!! Of course I freaked out like any mother would. But the doctor did many tests and tried out 2 different meds and got them under control is less than a month!! It was amazing. He went from 10-15 seizures a day and the same amount at nite in his sleep to absolutely nothing!

Cody is now 7 and hasn't had a prob with seizures or the meds since April 23rd 2006! We celebrated his one year of being seizure free with a huge party!

Just know that it seems stange and scarry in the beginning but the doctors will help you through it all. Don't be afraid to ask questions about anything and everything. It helps to know exactly what is going on. Especially with tests. I have always found that the nurses will give you a better easier explanantion than the doctors. Doctors forget sometimes that we didn't go to med school with them!

I'm sending thoughts and prayers your way! I hope they find the source of the seizure and stop'em! Good luck!

You and your husband will be in my prayers. Like someone said see if you can get a neighbor to take care of the chickens to take that pressure off of you.

Hope your hubby gets better!

The bird should be fine outside, just top off the water and feed.

Just a quick update:

They did an MRI today and they are keeping him another day to run more tests. He has not had another seizure and he wants to leave the hopital. He says he feels fine. He will stay though because he know he needs to. So far they havent found anything wrong. We will see what happens tomorrow.

Chick did fine last night and is still good today. But one of my hens was sitting on 6 eggs and when I got back from hopsital, all 6 eggs were gone! She is very upset and her feathers are everywhere. Whatever got them got a good meal but she put up a good fight. It had to have been a snake because there is no way in coop except through chicken wire and one small hole I found near nest. (new hole by the way).

I will let everyone know how DH is as soon as I know. I am so glad that I joined this group of wonderful caring people. I just wish that I could someday get to meet you all.
