Husband picked these chicks

They do look like the barnevelder. The name is just so unfamiliar. We will be heading there tomorrow to see if she remembers what he chose. He always causes commotion when we go there :) in a good way lol I’m sure she will get a kick out of him not knowing what he chose. I giggle because I have done all of the choosing of the chicks until this one time he decides he wants a certain chick so we get it and he only chooses them because he likes their color.....ummmmmm....pretty sure that will change lol gotta love it! I’ll let y’all know if/when we find out

So right know it could be a
Barnvelder
A welsummer
A brown leghorn
A partridge rock,
speckled Sussex don’t show their speckles until they grow up a bit, so it could be.
There is a slight chance they could be Easter Eggers because ee’s are mutts and have no breed guidelines, but unlikely

I agree with a few here, Barneveler or partridge rock seems about right. Though, id be surprised of TSC sold such a rare breed like Barnevelders. I missed my chance of getting one last year and I regret it! They're gorgeous birds that lay dark brown eggs.

Welcome! Ask at the store about possible breeds, and find out what hatchery they all came from. Then, check what breeds that hatchery carries, and compare chick pictures with the list.
'feathersite' has great photos of gazillions of breeds and colors, chicks and adults, and the hatchery may have pictures in their catalog.
'Mystery chicks' are fun!!!

You read my mind, LOL! I was thinking why not check with the TSC folks. However, that's not quite as entertaining as "name that chick."

Welcome to BYC @Jandsloch. I hope you have as much fun here as we do. :wee:wee:caf :jumpy
