Husband picked these chicks

we are new to chickens this year and the husband decided there were chicks he had to have at tractor supp. Yesterday so we went. He picked his 4 and I picked 4 barred rock. We get home and I was like what breed did you just get and he says o I don’t know I thought you knew. SMH. So in the picture you will see the black barred rock and the mystery brown chicks. I think I’m certain the sign said Bantam but not 100%. Any ideas? Also including a pic of my daughter holding a mystery chick as well.

Welcome to BYC! Very cute chicks. I've had barred rock, but none that looked like the other breed. But I don't think they are bantams, they all look the same size, don't they?

I chose the 4 barred rock I think only 3 posed for the pic lol those would be the black with white on top he chose the 4 mystery brown ones and they do look very similar in size. At least I’m smart to pay attention to what I am choosing lol we have become obsessed with them. First round we got 4 red pullets and 2 Cornish cross went back a few days later and grabbed 2 buff Orpington ( she was very helpful and did her best to try for a roo in the Orpington) those have finally made their way to the coop with a light and what happens we get 8 more! Not that my daughter is complaining!

Pretty babies!! Barred rock are awesome! The others look like our Welsummer but that’s just my guess.
