HUSBAND vs.WIFE-Can you really complain??

Like tonight! I came home first-took care of all animals-fire-started laundry..girls were already starving...so they made themselves omelettes, toast and such...Dh is taking me to the local pub for dinner

I don't have to cook tonight!!!!

This pub is our fav..cheap..great food..great atmosphere AND 5 miles from our small redneck town

No complaints tonight!

and then thought Gosh Im a selfish ^%$#@! It could be SOOOO much worse for me.

Here's another Ill give him credit for..He NEVER ever says a word about what I spend $ on! Could be something beyond stupid but he says nothing because he sees it brings me pleasure and if Im happy..well of course he's happy! I on the other hand ALWAYS complained about what he spent $ on. He always bought HUGE ticket items..a boat..snow mobile etc...but we always used those items together and with our children and managed to pay for them or sell them when times got tight ( we have none of those thing anymore) We seperated for a while 5 years ago ( for over a year) and when we got back together our priorities, the way we look at life and eachother totally changed-I say nothing when he comes home with something I know cost major $ ( guns, fly rods, tools) because I know when to pick my battles now-is it worth the fight? Nope..He's happy I'm happy win win...now mind, you we will argue about the dumbest things from time to time but in the end we calmy state our issues and respect them and go from there! Besides..his gun purchases go to filling our freezer with deer meat every year! Not that that has ever happened in 20 years yet but hey..... he'll be ready with the best equipment!!!

Husband and wife argue over who does more... wife says it is husbands' job to make coffee... husband says, who told you that?... wife say it is in the Bible ...husband say show me... Wife opens Bible to "Hebrews". I know, dumb joke but I think of it everytime I hear discussions about who does more.
