Well I won't ever have to worry about that. My husband has developed an allergic response to the SOUND of the vacuum cleaner.

No not fatal, but it does give him splitting headackes and it is for real.

See when he was a bachelor, he didn't know how to install the dust bag right. Every time he vaccumed, he got engulfed in a cloud of dust. We have much better vacuum cleaner now- Heppa filter and everything. The sound does trigger his allergies. I do the vacumming when I see him head to the bathroom with the newspaper. He can't hear it in there with the fan on.

If you get the drywall dust filter bags, shopvacs will work out great. I use one to clean out my pellet stove...
