anyone know what color of golden pheasant this is next to the normal colored red golden? 4 chicks hatched caramel and grey and 3 hatched out brown and black like normal. Chicks are 100% purebred, just a recessive gene came out! Any ideas?

Wing color differences.

Looks to me like you have some "Red" Goldens and some "Yellow" Goldens. I believe the Yellows are a dilute form of the normal Red phase.
