Hygro question

I got a new digital hygrometer/thermometer the other day. It is digital and yesterday I calibrated it using the salt and water method. I didn't check it for almost 24hrs. At almost 24hrs it was reading 78%. Do I need to recalibrate it again and check it at the 8hr mark. Or can I go w/ the 78% reading and know that it is 3% high. Someone please let me know.

No you did fine. Just make sure when reading it you adjust for the the 3* higher. Good luck with your hatch.

I'm horrible at math. So say for example the first 18 days I want my humidity at 40%. Knowing the hygro is 3% high would I want it to then read 43%, but in actuality it will be 40%? Did I say the right?
