I recently learned how to hypnotize a chicken.Yep, hypnotize. However it didn't seem to harm them. I was wondering if anyone new of a good reason why we shouldn't do this. It was funny and the kids thought it was really cool. No haters please. If you know of a valid reason why we shouldnt do this let me know.

How would you hypnotize a chicken? I myself, wouldn't think why it was bad if you didn't do it really often with the same chicken.

I have a 5 year old son therefore my chickens get hypnotized often. Lol. I did it a couple times because he thought it was hilarious and now he does it himself. It's pretty funny. It doesn't seem to affect the birds at all...I mean, a couple are in therapy now but other than that...

Lay it down, on its side if you can but not necessary. Draw a line with your finger 6" to 12", back and forth several times, from the tip of its beak straight out. Just go back and forth maybe 5 or 10 times. After you do that, it will just lay there until you pick it up or nudge it a little. You can stand up and kind of walk around and it will just lay there. I have a couple chickens it doesn't work on but it does work on most of them.
