Yeah is that bad

Generally speaking, yes. That's because the eggs need a different humidity when they are in the last three days than they do during regular incubation. This isn't so bad if you have just two batches going, since you can adjust the humidity for the second batch to make up for it being too high for a couple days. But if you have a ton of them all set for different times, like it appears you might, then you're going to have to keep increasing the humidity for three day intervals, and that prevents all the eggs not ready for that from losing enough moisture, and the babies inside drown before they can hatch.

Additionally, in the last three days, you shouldn't be opening the incubator all the time, and the eggs shouldn't be turned. But with a bunch of batches going at once, you have to keep opening the incubator and letting all the humidity out to turn the eggs that are still needing turning, and this can lead to eggs that are hatching drying out and getting stuck and not being able to hatch - just like what happened with this duckling.

If you want to have a lot of batches of eggs with a lot of different due dates going at the same time, you really need a second incubator to use as a hatcher that you move eggs into as they go into lockdown.

staggered hatches are possible.... but it seems to work best with at least 2 incubators. I use one for the eggs that still need more time and the other as a "hatcher" or when they approach hatching that last 3 days and need to have the humidity higher.... oh and keeps all the mess in one place, which I can clean out between hatches. I try to set my eggs so that they hatch a week apart. that gives me plenty of time between hatches
