I’m not Mother Nature, but..... My journey hatching broody and bator chicks

Pics
No new action?
No. :hit Not yet. I think I slowed the progress down when I removed the divider and took the chick out.

There are four really good pips. Kind of like a pip and a crack. I’m gonna give them a break by not staring at them. Maybe they’ll get to going now that I’ve left. I really do want to see one though.

I usually leave chicks in bator for 24 hours, the hatched chicks spurs the others to keep working at getting out...plus then you don't have to deal with a single chick peeping for company in the brooder. I take them out in groups of at least 2 only when they get too rowdy with the pipping eggs.
It can take 24 hours from pip to zip.
Are the pips within the air cell?

Yes, all the pips are within the air cells. The only reason I took the chick out was because he was a bull in a china shop. He was climbing onto the eggs and over the dividers. All the chickie pips were rolling to the side and. bottom. I really, really wanted to leave him in there, but I was a little apprehensive. I hope I’ll gain a little confidence with more experience. :fl

I hope I’ve not stopped the entire process. :barnie

:he:he And I missed hatchings #2 and #3. That is just my luck. I am in the bathroom typing on my computer now because I have my phone placed on top of the incubator recording the hatching of #4.

No pics yet, but it looks as though I have another Australorp cross and two from my Easter Egger.

There is one more that has pipped and four others that have not.

Now my bator is a cheeping, knocking box with those three little ones thrashing around.

I will post pics in just a bit.

Here are pictures of my newest little boogers.

This little guy is dragging around his “after hatch.” I certainly hope it doesn’t get caught on something and disembowel him.
