I normally keep them one chick food all the way to adult. I get far better results

I give them flock raiser type of feed until they lay their first egg and then switch to layer feed

I think I’ll hatch out a bunch from my birds and keep some nice pullets back. I need a nice non buff rooster that’s not related, so I guess I need to be looking.
