➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Yes.
Neurological Marek's.
:hugs:hit

When you got the results did they have any recommendations for the rest of the flock? Are there any legal requirements? Since you know now what Lindi had, and her mother had similar symptoms and passed in egg man's care, is he required to do anything? Or if he is not planning to do anything and wants to continue to pass along diseased birds, can you report him? I know you probably don't want to get him in trouble, but ethically he should not be selling or giving away birds with a known or suspected disease. It is putting you in a bad situation.

I had to put down my beloved Silver Laced Wyandotte hen last night. :(
I loved that chicken; she will be missed.

Marek's Update:
This sucks; always has. Lost a chick. Don't think to Marek's (Wasn't paralyzed just faded out)
I currently hate my dad. He has apparently adopted the idea that is OKAY to give our problem birds to someone else and make it THEIR problem.
Legit his thinking is, "Well if [egg man] thinks that he doesn't have to do anything about his problems then why should we? He already has diseased birds, why don't we just give him ours. Or we can give them to someone else."
:he
I have a lot that I want to say and discuss with people who have an outside perspective but I feel I will get flamed for it.:th
Sorry Cy.
One doesn't have to become lame for it to be Marek's.

What was wrong with your Sliver Laced girl?

I do not believe there are any laws regarding selling Marek's diseased birds.

People just should not do it.

I believe it, in regards to the buffalo skin. I'll bet they weigh a ton! I'd love to see your bear skin. They're a personal favorite of mine. I guess I should take up hunting or something.
I used to tan the hides of the rabbits when I was little. Damn coyotes always stole them.
My father got this at a garage sale and gave it to me. My brother stopped by to see it but did not notice it because he was standing right in front of it with his back to it. It was even with his face so he got quite a surprise when he turned around to see it.

There were no recommendations or legal requirements. Egg man is not required to do anything either, but I am looking to report him because he has multiple mystery illnesses in his poultry.

Report him to who?
