I have some blue somethings coming from Alaska and the other box I have no clue.

That should be interesting (eggs from Alaska) I wonder if they will be froze?

ETA: for spelling, been a long day

No the weather there has been really fair for Alaska. Her region has had little snow no subzero temps.

Eskimo Chickens with extra downy warmth! Raised on seal blubber so the eggs stay stay warm in sub zero temps.

Ducklover1,

Those crested ducks look like they were wearing wigs. At the show I went to over the weekend to see what goes on in one they had 2 crested ducks that looked like they stole grandma's hairdo. They were both cute n funny looking at the same time. The call ducks at the show were adorable.

Thankfully, this finger twitching egg buying virus has not hit here.

Although when I mentioned to Mom that a few people here had hatched the TJ's eggs, she did mention her incubator being handy.......

Hey now, Mom is 87!

This means I need to finish the new coop and run, then finish fixing up the old hutch for some babies.

Of course we do have the heavy super reinforced summer chickie run sitting there....... (we were going to craigslist it)

Any TJs eggs that hatch as pullets will be GREAT layers, y'know!

And how ya' gonna sell a chicken run THIS time of the year??? Maybe you could sell a 'bator or a brooder, but a run? Nah, too early. You still have need of it. Trust me.

What kind of chickens are the brown TJ eggs from?

And the run thing, is something my dad had welded up for him, 1" super heavy welded wire mesh (welder screwed up was supposed to use 1/2 wire...." so it is lined with 1/2" too, steel sliding pop door and sides that open up. My dad paid a fortune for it, looks more like a lobster trap than a chicken run thing.

Dunno. I hatched white eggs, which is what were in the cartons marked "Fertile" eggs, so they're probably White Leghorns. Little yeller chicks. No brown eggs in the cartons labeled fertile in the two stores where I bought mine. (Or I would have bought 'em, 'cause I prefer brown egg layers.) Just had to do the eggspirament.
