Did I mention that I am not going to get my Black Australorp eggs. It is supposed to snow and I wont be able to get them but I did get my silkie/showgirl eggs today. I will put them in the bator at midnight.

I actually found an ebay listing for BCM eggs that is close to me. Tried emailing them days ago about doing a pick up instead of shipping and never got a response. Oh well, lost my business and I guess I'll look elsewhere.

Well here goes. I do not have a Trader Joe's anywhere near me soooooo......I've been reading all these posts online about buying fertile eggs in stores. The closest store of that kind to me is an hour away, which conveniently I had a DR appt there today. So I decided to stop by the natural food store and was pleasantly greeted by a lady who asked if I needed any help. I wanted to tell her "Yes. I suffer from hatchitis but there is no known cure" but I restrained myself. I asked her while looking around the store if they sold eggs. As I noticed a sign on the back wall that said "Cold Items" she said "We sure do" and started walking back towards them. I asked her if they sold fertile eggs and she said yes. I quickly added (to hide my addiction) that I hear they are better for you than unfertilized eggs. She shook her head and pointed me right to the box. I picked the one with the freshest date, made my purchase and giggled all the way to my car. I have them warming up to room temp and them I am going to set my set of "experimental eggs" in with my other eggs. I dunno what kind of chickens they are going to be but the eggs are brown and the carton says "Cage Free". What is wrong with me
